Prominent Emirati businessman and entrepreneur behind the UAE’s Al Habtoor City. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor donated 100 Mitsubishi Pajero SUVs to the Dubai Police this week. This was done as a pledge to support the Dubai Police's endeavors of maintaining security across the emirate.

The delivery of the Mitsubishi Pajeros was beautifully lined up outside of Habtoor Palace Dubai, LXR. The Dubai Police immediately started posting stunning pictures of these new vehicles to social media.

The Mitsubishi Pajero is one of the most versatile vehicles in the world, making it a great police vehicle. This heavy duty, off road oriented, 4 wheel drive vehicle is extremely reliable. It’s been used in everything from military operations to off-road races.

Khalaf Al Habtoor was thanked for his gesture by Lt Gen Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police. “Khalaf Al Habtoor is one of the distinguished personalities in the UAE,” he said. “He has been contributing to the development of the emirates since their union with his charitable spirit and left his marks in many fields to serve the community and its people.”

He also added that the donated vehicles will be a key addition to the Dubai Police force’s patrol fleet. These patrol SUVs are to be distributed across the emirate to boost police operations.

The founder and chairman of the Al Habtoor Group extended his appreciation to the Dubai Police. Commending them on their continuing endeavor to ensure the safety and security of the city.

“Dubai is blessed with a high standard of safety and security, and I believe it is my social responsibility to join hands with the government to serve my country and its people,” Khalaf Al Habtoor said. “I am proud and happy to partner with Dubai Police in enhancing the sense of safety in our country,” he added.

One Billion Meals Campaign

In April, Mr. Al Habtoor donated Dh10 million (approximately $2.7 Million USD) to the UAE's One Billion Meals campaign. His contribution covered the cost of essential food items and food packages that were distributed to needy families around the world. These included items such as rice, flour, oil, sugar and dates.

Dubai Police Forces Fleet Patrol Car Plans

Back in March, the Dubai Police announced plans to add 400 patrol cars to their existing fleet. The Ghiath smart patrol vehicles, costing a total of Dh196 million, will be introduced in the next five years. They are exclusively designed in the UAE by W Motors and are considered to be the most advanced police vehicles in the world. These advanced security vehicles were designed for a new breed of mobile policing solutions.

Dubai Police recently added their first electric SUV vehicle, a Hongqi E-HS9, to its fleet of luxury patrol cars this month. The E-HS9 SUV is capable of going from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just five seconds. It has a range of approximately 440km.

This Hongqi brand SUV can be fully charged from dead to full battery in just six to eight hours.

The Dubai Police's supercar squad currently includes luxury vehicles like Mercedes, Maseratis, Aston Martins and Cadillacs.
